Welcome to William Chrisman High School – Home of the Bears!

As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am honored and excited to welcome our students, families, staff, and community back to William Chrisman High School. With pride in our past and enthusiasm for our future, we continue to build on the powerful legacy of 137 graduating classes. That history is a testament to the strength, resilience, and spirit of our Bear family.

At William Chrisman, we are proud to be Bears. Our dedicated and talented team of teachers, support staff, and administrators work tirelessly to care for and support every student, every family, and our beautiful campus. Their commitment ensures that WC remains a place where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are proud to offer the innovative Academy Model through the Independence School District. This forward-thinking approach empowers students to explore personalized career pathways, whether they plan to enter the workforce or pursue higher education. Through hands-on learning, real-world experiences, and college-credit opportunities, our students are taking bold steps toward their futures — and often, a step ahead of their peers.

Beyond the classroom, William Chrisman offers a wide variety of sports, clubs, and activities that allow students to discover their passions and connect with others. We believe that every student should be involved in something that excites and inspires them, and we encourage all Bears to find their place and their voice in our vibrant school community.

At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to helping each student become a B.E.A.R. — someone who strives every day to Be respectful, give Effort, be Accountable, and take Responsibility. These values guide our students not only through their high school years but into life beyond our halls.
